The Somerville Licensing Commission met on October 20, 2026, to consider liquor-license renewals and business licensing matters. The Commission moved up and approved a motion to renew the 2027 Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission licenses. It also approved several special alcohol licenses, including Warehouse 11’s music series, Junkyard’s outdoor concert event, and Life Drawing Boston events on November 6, 14, and 22. A special farm-winery license for Saltbox Cider Shop was approved, and the Commission considered additional farmers-market applications; one application was continued to the next meeting because the applicant was absent.

The Commission approved AMC Assembly Row 12’s request to extend food-service hours on four dates, without extending alcohol service; approved Sugidama’s premises alteration to replace 16 outdoor seats with indoor seating; and approved a new restaurant license for Large Studio, with the applicant advised to coordinate construction and department reviews. Rosebud reported that it had ceased operations and was arranging to transfer its license back to the property owner; the Commission requested proof of the transfer and notice that the restaurant was permanently closed. The Commission also requested an annual report on liquor-license quotas and cannabis licenses. No procurement or spending activity was identified.
