The Central Laredo Municipal Management District meeting was held October 20, 2026. The board approved the FY 2026–27 budget, moving $60,000 from staff salaries and benefits to district-administrator contracting services and increasing the legal, assessment, and collection line to $10,000. It also approved a limited administrative-services arrangement with ABHR for agenda preparation and posting at $150 per month. Laredo Main Street presented proposals of $1,750 per month for administrative services or $2,500 per month with local project coordination, but the board made no decision on those broader services and agreed to continue clarifying the scope. The board also approved a resolution revising financial procedures, including one signature for payments up to $2,500, two signatures above that amount, preauthorization of certain recurring budgeted payments, and authority for the chair to renew routine contracts on substantially the same terms.

The district reported that sidewalk and street-cleaning power washing had begun after four bids were received; the low bidder was selected, though the contractor and award amount were not identified. The board discussed possible future downtown lighting and maintenance coordination with the City and the municipal management district, and approved beginning informal discussions with those parties. It also authorized notice and mailing for a public hearing on the proposed FY 2026–27 assessment, scheduled for November 24, and approved execution of a depository pledge agreement. No assessment rate or additional lighting contract award was specified.
