The City of Bandera Economic Development Corporation (EDC) held a workshop and regular meeting on October 20, 2026. The workshop focused on possible future projects, including completing the park, improvements to Mansfield Park, visitor wayfinding and QR-code information, public art, and revenue-generating development. Members discussed long-term business recruitment, including light manufacturing, and opportunities to coordinate with tourism, arts, conservation, and community organizations. No procurement decisions were made on these ideas.
During the regular meeting, the board approved $400 from the parks and recreation budget to mark the boundaries of Settlers Park. It approved a $550 administrative invoice and agreed to include the recurring QuickBooks ACH charge of $149.24 on future consent agendas; the financial statements were tabled for further information. The board discussed a $25,000 performance-agreement request for Trail Boss Steakhouse’s outdoor dining expansion, but took no action on it. It also approved a performance agreement for the City’s Christmas lighting and holiday decorations project, to be reimbursed against receipts. A proposed process for evaluating promotional-funding applications was deferred for further review; applicants were expected to present at the next meeting, with approximately $35,000 available against requests totaling roughly $75,000–$76,000. The board deferred action on a survey/title issue involving the Tin Man parking lot and directed that its investment policy and bylaws receive further review, including legal review of the proposed Bandera Bank collateral agreement.
