The North Hudson Park Board meeting was held September 15, 2026. The board reviewed park accessibility and maintenance, then discussed 2027 budget priorities and longer-term capital needs. Public Works reported that erosion controls at Brown’s Beach had held up after rainfall and that a repair to a bent railing was being arranged; the Brown’s Beach parking-lot project had a green light, but bidding and seasonal timing could delay construction. The board also discussed a roughly $166,000 Fair Landing pavilion-and-bathroom replacement concept (excluding other site improvements), an estimated $4,000 Eaglewood sandbox and digger replacement, and tree planting at about $850 per established tree. Cedar Corp may provide concept planning and grant-writing support for prioritized projects; no contract awards or purchases were approved at this meeting.
The board unanimously approved a recommendation to the Village Board for 2027 budget consideration that included beginning Fair Landing improvements with a concept plan, expanding the Pepperfest Park ice rink, and installing fencing at the Glenn Oaks pickleball courts with a seasonal portable toilet. Members also discussed pursuing grants and community donations, a possible Friends of the Park group, and accessibility improvements at Fair Landing. The board continued work on its long-term outdoor recreation plan and noted that a tree and disease policy revision is expected to return for review; no final policy or Friends group action was taken.
