The Hudson Public Utilities meeting on August 11, 2026, approved staff’s recommendation to award CTW Corporation the Well 5 rehabilitation work for $18,367.50. The work was competitively solicited through an RFP, with proposals also received from Municipal Well and Pump ($23,632.93) and Keys Well Drilling ($23,968). The item was budgeted and approved by vote. Because the well’s condition and any additional repair needs will not be known until it is pulled, staff may authorize repairs within the approved budget; if costs exceed the available budget, staff will return to the board for approval.
Staff also reported water-main breaks and repairs, cleaning the Seventh Street reservoir, and ongoing potholing and documentation of roughly 285 water-service lines to identify materials, including possible lead. Cost estimates for the southeast sewer project are expected shortly; staff will present them for discussion of affordability and potential funding. The board also discussed an asphalt-related invoice and a reported street hole, with staff agreeing to have crews inspect it. Meeting minutes and claims were approved; no other procurement awards or spending decisions were identified.
