The City of Raymore Planning and Zoning Commission met on October 20, 2026. It unanimously approved Case 26017, a site plan for an approximately 6,000-square-foot Vision Source medical office, with a waiver allowing the trash enclosure in the front yard and landscaping proposed around it. The commission also recommended that the City Council approve rezoning Parkside Park (Case 26019) for a future public dog park and the TB Hannah Station expansion (Case 26020) for park use. These rezonings are not final site-plan approvals; future park layouts will be reviewed separately. A nearby resident raised concerns about dog waste, health, drainage, and the size of the proposed buffer, which staff said should be addressed during future site-plan review. The commission also discussed that closing the street by the TB Hannah expansion would require a separate application and review.
No public contract awards, bids, vendor selections, or spending approvals were identified. Staff reported ongoing road and development work, including improvements along Route 58 and construction activity near Dean Avenue; Walmart’s bids for its own project had opened, with its contractor expected to start soon. The council report noted approval of the Settlebrook second and final plat for 55 single-family lots. These were project updates rather than procurement actions by the commission.
