Hudson School Board October 12, 2026 LIVE

The Hudson School Board meeting on October 12, 2026, approved consent items authorizing payment of bills totaling $467,551.49. The board also approved adding a third school resource officer (SRO). Administration said the proposal would involve negotiating contract terms with the city; the estimated additional SRO cost is about $116,000, while eliminating two part-time campus security positions would save about $61,000. The district said the resulting Fund 10 savings could remain available for training and other safety needs, while the added SRO cost would come from Fund 80. No contract terms or vendor award were finalized at this meeting.

The board also approved revisions to staff-student professional-boundaries policies, the 2027–28 and 2028–29 school calendars, and district goals for 2026–27. Members received an update on Wisconsin Association of School Boards resolutions, including proposals related to digital equity and the burden of public-records requests; no action on those proposals was taken. Hudson Physicians was recognized as a community partner, and students presented material from the school musical.
