Hope Gas was relocating a line, after which the contractor was expected to install the final section and complete paving and site restoration. The next pay application was expected to come before council in two weeks; approximately $68,000 in retainage was being held pending completion and punch-list work. Council approved allocating $30,000 in opioid-fund money toward a replacement police vehicle; discussion put the total vehicle cost at a little over $70,000, including equipment. Council also approved selling a 2019 Dodge Durango, a 2008 Dodge Ram, and a confiscated 2017 Lincoln.
The mayor reported that the Webster Road sidewalk Phase III project has $527,886 in federal grant funding and is fully funded, with an award anticipated in spring. Council approved a simplified building-permit process guide recommended by Planning and Zoning. Members discussed but took no action on the possible city takeover of the Old Main Arts and Heritage Center, requesting further review of costs and building conditions before considering the matter. No other contract award was identified.
