The Raymore-Peculiar Board of Education met on August 27, 2026. The district reported a successful first bond sale of $25 million and outlined capital work planned across the bond program, including the Showalter remodel, districtwide safety and security upgrades, roofing and flooring projects, and athletic facilities. The board unanimously approved the JROTC obstacle course, to be funded from 2026 bond proceeds; no cost was stated. It also unanimously approved Freedom Interiors as the furniture design, consulting, and installation partner for the 2026 bond program and future capital improvements. District officials said additional safety-related purchase approvals would be brought forward as planning proceeds.

The board unanimously approved two Engage to Learn procurements: an instructional coaching program review for up to $59,295 and facilitation of the 2027–2032 strategic plan for $55,810. The tax-year 2026 levy was also approved unanimously at a total rate of $5.0302 per $100 of assessed valuation ($4.5022 operating and $0.5280 debt service), estimated to generate about $53.65 million. The district reviewed July financial activity, which it said remained consistent with budget expectations, and presented the 2026–2027 assessment plan, including replacement of NWEA with i-Ready; the transcript does not clearly capture a vote on that plan.
