The Park County, Wyoming Board of County Commissioners’ meeting, held October 20, 2026, approved the consent agenda, including payroll and vouchers; an annual City of Powell snow-removal agreement for the fairgrounds; a courthouse security grant contract; and recycling services for Park County landfills beginning in January 2027. The board also selected Groathouse Construction as construction manager at risk for HVAC upgrades at the Law Enforcement Center. The selection followed a committee review of qualifications, approach, references, and cost; no contract amount was stated. Commissioners approved the selection by motion and vote. The county buildings and grounds budget will fund the project, and the discussion noted that equipment should be ordered early because of lead times.

Cody Conservation District reported that a contractor had been selected for a community wildfire protection plan funded by a previously awarded $138,500 grant, with contract approval still pending. It also reported a newly awarded state forestry grant for a roughly 100-acre fire-resilience thinning project on Rattlesnake Mountain. The meeting included land-use hearings and approval of a floodplain variance and a simple subdivision, as well as appointment of a county health officer; no additional procurement actions were identified in those items.
