The Waukee City Council meeting on October 19, 2026, included approvals of several land-use and development items. The Council approved site plans for a 12,000-square-foot Iowa Elite building, an approximately 1,800-square-foot addition to the Waukee Area Christian Services facility, and a four-story mixed-use project with 231 residential units and office space. It also approved rezoning actions, including one allowing additional signage and one for an 80-unit active-adult senior living project.

The Council approved a second reading of the Waukee Consolidated Urban Renewal Area tax increment financing (TIF) ordinance and the third and final reading of the Kettlestone Residential Urban Renewal Area Project 4 TIF ordinance. Both allow the City to capture tax increment from anticipated development over the next 18 to 24 months to support eligible improvements. No contract awards, bids, vendor selections, or direct purchasing decisions were identified. During public comment, a resident raised concerns about abandoned copper landlines in utility rights-of-way; no Council action was recorded on the matter.
