At the October 20, 2026 regular meeting of the Region 9 Board of Education, the board approved several capital-project invoices. It approved $51,895.20 to BMP Construction Inc. for the stone retaining wall, $399,985.80 in classroom furniture invoices, and $342,683.24 for restroom renovations, also payable to BMP Construction. It also approved $93,329 to Touch Tech Pro LLC for interactive-board replacements. The furniture and interactive-board projects were to be funded from 2025–2026 unexpended funds; the transcript records $403,592.94 as the furniture-project allocation. The board also authorized applying the Nest building and field-improvement project’s remaining $89.46 to bond payments to close the account. The invoice motions that included recorded vote results passed unanimously.

The board voted 6–1 to accept Q A and M’s $77,620 proposal for capital planning and authorized the administration to engage the firm. The proposal was selected from a process that began with 13 firms, narrowed to seven proposals, then three interviews and two reference checks; funding was identified in a budget line with $200,000 available for improvements. One member opposed spending the funds on consultants, preferring direct capital improvements. Separately, the finance report noted that payroll, benefits, and some invoices were not yet reflected in actuals; September claims were estimated at approximately $165,000, and staff agreed to review questions about printing and textbook encumbrances. The curriculum committee also reported approval of several additional courses and confirmed that AP Business with Personal Finance meets the state’s half-credit personal-finance requirement.
