Development Review Commission - Oct. 13, 2026

The Tempe Development Review Commission met on October 13, 2026, to review land-use matters. The commission unanimously approved the September 8 study-session and regular-meeting minutes and consent-agenda use permits for front-yard parking, an RV garage, and a resale business. No procurement, contract awards, or spending decisions were identified.

The commission considered application PL260251, Riley Casey’s request to park a utility trailer in the front-yard setback at 1941 East Pebble Beach Drive. Staff recommended denial, citing code and neighborhood-compatibility concerns; the applicant disputed the staff analysis and offered conditions. A motion to deny received two votes and did not pass. The commission then approved the use permit with staff’s conditions and additional conditions concerning the trailer’s condition and review if it becomes a violation; Commissioners Spears, Young, and the chair opposed. The next meeting was announced for October 27, 2026.
