Midvale City Council meeting, October 20, 2026: The council unanimously approved Resolution 2026-R-57, authorizing a waterline agreement among Midvale City, Remington Midvale LLC, and AUA Midvale Townhomes LLC. The developer will construct the waterline and provide an easement so the city can access and maintain the looped system after inspection and a one-year warranty period; no contract amount was stated. The council also unanimously approved a second amendment to the interlocal agreement with the Salt Lake County Health Department. An ordinance concerning right-of-way adjacent to a development was tabled until no later than the end of January 2027 at the applicant’s request. The mayor noted that the proposed new library is in development, with a target opening around January 2029; discussion of a recreation center proposal focused on community concerns about preserving Union Park softball fields, with no related vote taken.

In the Redevelopment Agency portion, the board unanimously approved grant agreements for 10 Main Street businesses participating in the Trick or Treat Decoration Grant program. The program reimburses eligible decoration expenses up to $50 per business, for a maximum of $500 across the 10 approved applicants.
