The Logan Municipal Council met October 20, 2026. It approved Resolution 26-37, appropriating $50,000 in donated Cache Valley Electric funds for concerts and other events, $10 million from the electric fund toward the purchase of a public works building, and $750,000 for solar infrastructure at the new Public Works Campus. The council also passed Resolution 26-36, updating the electric-vehicle charging rate to accommodate new management software; staff said the change should be revenue-neutral. No vendor contract awards or bids were identified. Council members discussed Logan’s approximately $70 million water tank and waterline project, which is funded through water reserves and planned revenue bonds; staff reported construction progress and said the bonds had not yet been issued. Residents raised questions about project costs, schedule, street design, and right-of-way claims, and staff said they would follow up on specific questions.

The council passed Ordinance 26-18, updating the city’s wildland-urban-interface code and map to comply with state requirements. Ordinance 26-19, concerning hotel/motel uses in multifamily buildings, was discussed as a workshop item and is expected to return for further consideration; no action was taken on it. No procurement-specific policy change or contract award was approved.
