St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners regular meeting, October 20, 2026. The main substantive item was the quasi-judicial public hearing on the Club at Indrio Creek proposal: rezoning 126.3 acres to Plan Town or Village and approving its preliminary regulating plan for up to 332 homes, civic and mixed-use lots, recreation areas, and open space. The applicant proposed constructing or improving roadway connections, paving about 2,500 feet of Seminole Road, and extending water and sewer lines; its habitat restoration plan included an estimated $1 million in plantings. After discussion of requested deviations from transect, block, and street standards, the board approved the project 3–2, accepting the deviations and specifying related conditions. A consent item concerning permission to advertise a community development district hearing was approved with the consent agenda; item 10C2 was pulled for further review. The board also approved proclamations for Careers in Construction Month and National Red Ribbon Week. During the administrative update, staff reported that Buc-ee’s has an approved site plan, while site-development permits remain in process pending an adequate financial bond for roadway improvements.
