# City-County Task Force on Disabilities Meeting - 10/19/26

The City-County Task Force on Disabilities met on October 19, 2026. Members introduced the city’s new ADA coordinator, Gabe Hayman, and discussed problems with meeting access and accessibility, including participants and interpreters having difficulty joining or using the meeting platform. Members also raised the need for clearer task-force goals, better meeting preparation, and accessible public announcements and captioning at public events. The amended minutes from the prior meeting were approved. A financial report was deferred until next month because the financial secretary was not present.

After discussion of the lack of an agenda and remaining meeting time, a motion to conclude the meeting after public announcements passed. Announcements included an upcoming Western PA Disability History and Action Consortium event and a volunteer opportunity supporting emergency absentee ballots for hospitalized voters. No procurement activity, contract decisions, or spending approvals were identified.
