Putnam County Board of County Commissioners meeting, October 13, 2026. The board approved a purchase order to Reese Technologies for gasification-plant integration design and engineering, not to exceed $949,861; the work is tied to an additional state award of about $900,000, with Commerce reimbursement and cost overruns borne by the vendor. It also approved $178,605 for ERP consulting services under a Florida Department of Management Services contract, with the expense eligible for reimbursement from a legislative appropriation. The board approved an intent-to-fund agreement for the county’s ERP financial-system replacement (Resolution 2026-076); commissioners described it as a multiyear project expected to cost more than $1 million overall. Consent items included grant-funded emergency generators for lift stations and water systems. The port authority pulled the dock rehabilitation item to add an electrical component and continue coordination with FPL. The economic-development update reported a $65,000 planning grant for an implementation plan to identify infrastructure priorities and position the county to pursue future funding; the grant does not fund construction.

The board also approved a historical marker for Mary Wisham Park, to be funded from discretionary dollars, and discussed—but did not approve funding for—a replacement electronic sign at the fairgrounds and next steps for restoring the Fort Gates Ferry landing. On animal-services enforcement, commissioners approved moving forward with ordinance language covering four violation categories and a graduated citation structure; staff and the county attorney are to return with the necessary ordinance language. No final ordinance amendment was adopted at this meeting. The board also approved the minutes and proclaimed National 4-H Week and Fire Prevention Month.
