The City of Easton Zoning Hearing Board met on October 19, 2026, to hear four property applications. No procurement activity, contracts, or spending decisions were identified. The board unanimously approved a special exception for a detached garage at 309 West Wayne Avenue and a setback variance for a prefabricated 12-by-20-foot garage shed at 61 North Locust Street. It also unanimously approved variances for converting 254 West Nesquahoning Street to a two-family dwelling. The applicant withdrew the street-tree variance request and must work with the city forester; the four parking spaces must be marked as nine-foot spaces, with two assigned to each unit through written leases.
The board unanimously approved an variance for the existing 80-foot-wide paved driveway at 812 West Grant Street. Conditions require four reflective no-parking signs and prohibit replacing the asphalt at the end of its useful life, except for a driveway up to the 10-foot width allowed by the ordinance. The applicant stated the paved area would not be used for parking.
