The Municipality of Murrysville Planning Commission met on October 13, 2026, and held hearings on two conditional-use applications. For CU-5-26, the commission unanimously recommended approval to the council of Meijer’s proposed M Express gas station and convenience store as part of a larger development featuring a 159,000-square-foot supercenter. The convenience store is proposed at about 3,158 square feet, with six double-sided fueling islands (12 fuel positions); the underground tanks would be about 48 feet from the nearest property line. The plan also includes roadway realignment and widening on Manor and Wilson Roads and a signalized intersection, subject to municipal and PennDOT review. Commissioners and a resident raised questions about access, sightlines, lighting, and building materials; these matters are expected to receive further review during land development. No contract awards, purchasing decisions, or spending allocations were identified.
For CU-4-26, a steep-slope application for the Ogden residence, the commission unanimously recommended approval to the council, with outstanding technical items—including a factor-of-safety analysis, revegetation/reforestation plans, and additional cross sections—to be addressed. The applicant reported county erosion-control and stormwater approvals and less than one acre of disturbance. The commission also noted that another project had been delayed while its traffic study was completed. No procurement activity was identified.
