The Village of Orland Park Board of Trustees meeting was held October 20, 2026. The Board approved accounts payable of approximately $4.056 million and several procurement actions. Awards included a $96,725 contract with Arris Inc., plus a $10,000 contingency, for emergency storm-sewer replacement; demolition contracts with KLF Enterprises for $59,400 plus a $5,000 contingency and $77,000 plus a $5,000 contingency; a $47,800 multi-use path study contract with Chastain and Associates; and a $793,051.80 traffic-signal improvements contract with Hometown Electric. Staff said the signal work was reimbursable through TIF/bond proceeds and followed two unsuccessful bid solicitations. The Board also approved a $60,000 water, sanitary and storm-rate study with NewGen Strategies and Solutions, plus a $5,000 contingency. A design contract amendment for the pickleball-court and parking project increased the not-to-exceed amount by $278,000; the expanded design covers courts, potential shade and lighting, restrooms and related utilities. The motion passed, with one trustee opposed.
The Board approved a DACRA Tech automated speed-enforcement system contract for four cameras, initially to issue warnings rather than fines while the Village reviews legal authority; the agreement is for one year with two renewal options, and no contract amount was stated. It also renewed advocacy and legislative consulting contracts with Matthew O’Shea Consulting and Michael Best Strategies for three years, with a 5% annual escalator and a reported first-year cost of about $126,000; officials cited more than $30 million in IDOT programming, $8 million for Southwest Highway and $1.9 million in state member-initiative funds among recent funding results. Consent approvals also covered office furniture and janitorial-supply purchases, commuter-parking software and kiosk equipment, and other items, with amounts not provided. The Board authorized the 2027 high-school art show and approved a board attendance-policy ordinance; no additional procurement amount was identified for those actions.
