At its October 19, 2026 meeting, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors approved several procurement- and spending-related items. The board approved an intergovernmental agreement with Lake Havasu City for water-pollution sampling and laboratory-testing coordination, and accepted a $17,898.67 Friends of the Library donation for teen-zone furniture at the Lake Havasu City Library. It also approved Amendment No. 1 to contract 21PS17 with Selberg Associates, extending design/construction-administration services for the county legal services center; the discussion identified an additional $15,000, with delays tied in part to stormwater and utility issues. The board continued the childhood immunization-services contract item for 30 days while staff review the county’s vaccine schedule. Staff said services would continue, but the county might have to carry expenses until the contract is signed; the item was described as having no general-fund impact once reimbursed.

The board also approved measures intended to address drainage and flooding risks from development in Val Vista, following public testimony from residents, and approved revisions to County Ordinance 98-10 to clarify food-safety terminology and standardize inspections. Flood-control work discussed included a previously purchased half-million-dollar property intended for a retention pond and a proposed culvert connection, but no new funding or construction award was identified in the transcript. The board set a December 21, 2026 public hearing on a fee schedule for the Laughlin/Bullhead airport; rates were not adopted at this meeting.
