The Hopkins Trails Committee (HCAM) met on October 22, 2026. Members approved September meeting minutes and voted to approve three payments: $8,575 to Adam West for work associated with Loop Road/Chamberlain and Sheridan East Path, to be funded through CPA; $150 to Pooh Boy for dog-waste station pickups; and a $26.72 reimbursement to Linda for Staples printing of trail maps. The motion passed, with no opposition recorded. Members also agreed informally to spend $10 on a replacement workday sign and discussed starting a small batch of trail maps, without recording a specific map budget or formal vote.
The committee discussed ongoing trail projects, including repairing storm damage to a shared-use path, advancing parking-area survey work and potential trail routes, and coordinating access during the Center School demolition, expected to affect trail access from November 15. Members discussed future maintenance budgeting—including mowing, leaf blowing, and parking-lot snow clearing—and developing a consistent trail-signage approach; proposals and cost estimates are to return for committee review. No new contract award or vendor selection was recorded beyond the payments approved.
