10.16.2026 CTA Collective Bargaining Session #4

The School District of Palm Beach County’s CTA Collective Bargaining Session #4 was held October 16, 2026. The parties discussed proposed changes to employee-hours and transfer provisions, including making the first workday after spring break a teacher workday and revising the voluntary-transfer period to give employees affected by enrollment-related staffing adjustments more opportunities to apply for vacancies. The district was not ready to reach tentative agreement on the spring-break proposal and said it would respond at the next session. It will review the transfer proposal with its recruitment department; no agreement or vote was reported.

The CTA asked the district to provide its cost to recruit and onboard a new employee, and the district agreed to follow up. The parties also clarified categories in the district’s fund-balance presentation and discussed where supporting details could be found in the annual financial report.
