The City of Norwalk’s 2026 Taste and State of the City event took place on October 17, 2026. Mayor Jennifer Perez and city officials reviewed community priorities, public safety, local business support, family programs, and infrastructure and economic development. The city reported securing more than $72 million in grants and dedicated funding for community improvements, including nearly $10 million for Hermosillo Park rehabilitation and stormwater capture and $200,000 for a youth-related initiative. Projects cited included completed Firestone Boulevard Bridge widening and Imperial Highway transportation-system improvements, as well as improvements underway at Hermosillo Park and development planned at The Walk.
