The Quincy Planning Board meeting on October 14, 2026, approved three permit extensions: a two-year extension for the affordable housing proposal at 80 Clay Street (Case 2025-11), a two-year extension for 61–69 and 71 Hancock Street (Case 2024-12), and a third six-month extension for the 34-unit affordable housing project at 45–50 Winter Street (Case 2023-02). The department supported the requests, citing a 2026 state law change allowing extensions of up to two years. No contracts, vendor selections, or purchasing decisions were identified.

The Board continued the public hearing for the proposed 520-unit development at 100 and 150 Newport Avenue Extension to November 18 for further departmental review; the applicant agreed to provide a supplemental traffic study addressing the Neponset River Bridge. The proposed seven-unit project at 7–11 Burns Avenue was continued to December 9 for review. The Board also reviewed three approval-not-required plans for signature and discussed a draft 2027 meeting schedule, with a vote deferred to November.
