The Fall River Zoning Board of Appeals held its regular meeting on October 15, 2026. Two old-business items were not considered during the meeting. The board tabled a request concerning off-street parking at 189 Durfee Street until its next meeting while the applicant investigates whether parking can be provided inside the building. It granted a permit for separating properties at 141 and 145 Hunter Street, subject to standard conditions, and granted the Animal Rescue League of Fall River’s variance request concerning property at 474 and 452 Durfee Street; the applicant withdrew the associated special-permit request after documenting sufficient parking.
For new business, the board denied a request to build an accessory dwelling unit above a garage at 361 Division Street, granted a front-yard setback variance for a farmer’s porch at 75 Alumni Way, and granted a variance to subdivide a property for an existing two-family home and a new single-family home. It also granted a variance to reconfigure lots at 169 and 175 Pitman Street, conditioned on separating utilities and retaining conditions from the prior variance. The board approved the September meeting minutes and the following year’s meeting schedule. No procurement or purchasing activity was identified.
