The Reidsville City Council meeting on October 13, 2026, approved a gymnasium-use agreement with the Reidsville Reapers LLC. The team may use the Parks and Recreation gym for games, practices, and related activities without rent or a facility-use fee; the city will cover routine utilities and maintenance, retain concession revenue, and coordinate scheduling. Council also approved a $75,100 budget amendment for repairs and improvements to the Lake Reidsville boat ramp, dock, and gazebo area, using fund balance. Staff cited a quote from Goodwood and said the low lake level provides an opportunity to complete the work more easily; the project could take three to six months.

On utility access, council authorized the city attorney to negotiate a written agreement with Adams Electric Company for water service to its Elliott Road property without annexation, with the contract to return to council for consideration. The proposal is associated with planned warehouses and an estimated investment of $7–8 million for phase one, $3.5 million for a subsequent phase, and $15–20 million for a potential future building. Staff will also review the city’s broader utility-extension policy. Council approved final requisitions for 2012 and 2013 bond trust accounts—about $873,440 and $944,181, respectively—reflecting previously spent funds being moved from restricted trust accounts to city accounts, not new funding. The police chief reported that Flock cameras had been decommissioned and that the city would not renew the contract. The city manager also announced a stage-one, 30-day voluntary water-conservation alert under existing policy; no council vote was required for that action.
