The City of Hollywood Planning and Development Board meeting, held October 13, 2026, included a presentation on the Broward County Resilience Plan, which estimates $28 billion in adaptation investments over 50 years, including $9 billion for public infrastructure. The presentation encouraged the Board to consider resilience needs in future project recommendations; no formal endorsement or funding action was taken. The Board approved, 6–2, Broward County’s request to rezone its approximately 0.77-acre transit storage property at 2326 Thomas Street from DH-1 to GU. The County described the site’s ongoing bus-shelter storage function and a possible future modernization, but submitted no development plan for approval.

The Board unanimously recommended approval of the design and site plan for Harry Berry Park improvements, separate from the pending 1301 South Ocean Drive tower application. The park plan includes a restroom building, landscaping, and parking changes; the applicant stated that the City would control the design and that project funding was linked to the 1301 agreement. The discussion also referenced a prior $296,000 state grant and a developer commitment to repay that amount if state approval for the park changes is denied. The Board unanimously approved a variance, design, and site plan for a roughly 50,000-square-foot self-storage expansion at 1109 North 21st Avenue, and unanimously approved design and site plans for multifamily projects at 1504–1510 North Dixie Highway (33 units) and 1118–1126 North 17th Avenue (27 units). No procurement contracts, vendor awards, or purchasing actions were identified.
