**Body:** City of Boulder
**Date:** October 11, 2026
**Jurisdiction:** SLED

**Tags:** Transportation, Physical Infrastructure

The City of Boulder Transportation Advisory Board met on October 12, 2026. The board approved the September meeting minutes. Staff presented proposed updates to the city’s bicycle and pedestrian wayfinding system, including numbered and named crosstown routes, coordinated on- and off-street signs and pavement markings, pedestrian wayfinding, and courtesy signage. The recommendations are still in draft; staff plans to consult partners and develop sign layouts, placement plans, destinations, route designations, funding options, and a phased implementation plan. Staff said the city sign shop can fabricate replacement signs and small batches, while larger orders would generally be purchased externally. No contract award, specific funding allocation, or procurement vote was presented.

Board discussion addressed route numbering and navigation-app integration, sign legibility, potential conflict locations, path speed and e-bike rules, and safety concerns at crossings. Members also discussed participation in a November citywide strategic-plan workshop and shared community traffic-safety initiatives. No additional procurement decisions or spending actions were identified.
