The City of Florence, South Carolina Planning Commission met on October 13, 2026, to review land-use and development applications. The commission approved a sketch plan for Stratton Drive townhomes; a Commercial Reuse rezoning for a low-intensity office use on South Homestead Drive; annexation and NC10 zoning for a parcel at 3699 West Point Drive; and annexation and NC6.3 zoning for a proposed townhome site on South Church Street. It also approved rezoning four Belleview Drive lots from NC15 to NC6.2 to allow duplexes, with one commissioner voting against, and approved the Carriage Place sketch plan, which includes a gated emergency-access easement. The commission also approved renaming Rollingwood Drive to Delaine Drive and Shadow Hawk Circle to Camille Circle to address E911 street-name review requirements.

Public comments raised neighborhood-maintenance concerns near South Homestead Drive, potential effects on a nearby business from the South Church Street proposal, and preferences for single-family rather than duplex housing on Belleview Drive. No contracts, vendor selections, spending allocations, or other procurement activity were identified.
