10/15/26 - Bradley County Planning Commission Meeting

The Bradley County Regional Planning Commission meeting on October 15, 2026, approved its agenda and prior meeting minutes, then considered Barry Engineers’ request to rezone property on Springplace Road from F to C2 General Commercial for a proposed Dollar General. The applicant said the site had passed a perc test, that TDOT had approved the access plan, and that the proposal aligned with the future land-use map’s mixed-commercial designation along the road frontage. The county planner noted that most of the site fell within the mapped commercial area.

Residents opposed the rezoning, citing traffic and road-safety concerns, drainage, the area’s rural character, and the presence of an existing convenience store.
