The Chino Valley Unified School District Board of Education’s regular meeting on October 15, 2026, included the annual Measure G Citizens Oversight Committee report. The district reported that the committee’s review found no instances of noncompliance with bond requirements. Reported Measure G figures included a $28 million first bond issuance, a remaining cash balance of $93.3 million, $63.5 million reimbursed to the district through the state modernization program for future projects, and $43.9 million in bonds still to be issued. Projects completed or underway included repiping Cortez Elementary, new furniture at several campuses, improvements at Don Lugo High School, and construction at Ayala High School. The Don Lugo pool pump repair remained delayed but was under warranty; swimmers were using Chino High’s pool. The district also said it was developing a common design for gymnasiums at six junior high/K–8 campuses and reviewing costs and funding for an auto shop project.

The board approved the consent agenda following a motion and second; the transcript does not clearly capture the vote tally or itemized procurement decisions. One agenda correction concerned the fourth amendment to a land lease and reimbursement agreement for Department of State Architect inspection services with Horizon Wireless; the correction changed a date in the background information. No new contract award or competitive solicitation was clearly identified. The meeting also recognized a donation of two AEDs and two trauma kits from the Chino Valley Fire District, and included extensive public comment and discussion about student athletics, school policies, safety, and legal costs.
