At its September 15, 2026 regular meeting, the Tomball ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved several procurement and operating items. The board approved interlocal agreements with Klein ISD and Harris County for school resource officer services. It also approved a $13,353.21 increase to Millennium Project Solutions, Inc.’s contract for construction work at Tomball High School’s Career and Technology facility. The board awarded CSP No. 100003-26 to ICI Construction for the new Tomball Intermediate School: the construction cost is $49,279,000, within an overall $59 million project budget funded by the 2025 bond. Trustees noted that 14 construction firms submitted bids and that ICI had both the lowest price and the highest score for relevant project experience. The school is expected to open in August 2028.

The board also unanimously adopted a tax rate that is 0.0071 lower than the prior year. Other approved items included an out-of-state trip for Tomball Memorial High School architecture students to attend nationals in June 2027; the initially separated item was clarified as an acronym error. Trustees removed the August meeting minutes from the consent agenda to verify a previously tabled item, then approved the minutes after confirming they were accurately recorded. Public comments raised concerns about a committee appointee, student discipline and bullying, and classroom screen time; no related procurement action was taken.
