Herriman City Council meeting — October 14, 2026. The council approved Resolution R44-2026, authorizing a cooperative maintenance agreement with UDOT for a shared-use path and pedestrian structures along Mountain View Corridor. Staff was directed to resolve details concerning a roughly 340-foot trail segment outside city boundaries and clarify ownership and maintenance responsibilities for pedestrian structures, including a tunnel. The council also approved Ordinance 2026-20, amending the Olympia Master Development Agreement to meet conditions of an affordable housing infrastructure grant, including design-standard changes for smaller lots and reporting requirements.
The council approved Resolution R45-2026, authorizing a UDOT disbursement agreement for the previously awarded $50 million Utah Affordable Housing Infrastructure Grant. The funding will support roads in Olympia; the agreement ties the funding to 2,500 affordable homes, calculated at one unit per $20,000, within the development’s already approved 6,480 units. The housing requirements include a five-year owner-occupancy period and a continuing restriction limiting rentals to 20% of the homes, with the units to be dispersed through the development. Separately, a council member reported that Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District held a public hearing on a proposed bond for treatment-plant expansion, capacity upgrades, wells, aqueducts, and reservoirs; no bond vote was reported.
