The No. 20 ʻAiea Neighborhood Board regular meeting was held October 14, 2026. Procurement- and project-related updates included a report that a contract had been awarded for a new athletic field and track at ʻAiea High School; work is pending notice to proceed, and no contractor or contract amount was stated. The City’s Department of Design and Construction reported erosion-control work along Moanalua Road near Pearl Ridge Elementary School, scheduled to begin October 19 and continue through March 2027, with weekday lane closures. The City also reported that Structural Hawaii, Inc. holds trenching permit TP 2025-8080 for a new water meter and fire-hydrant relocation at 99-230 Moanalua Road; the applicant is responsible for restoring the roadway. A permanent Cotila Wells water-treatment system was discussed, but its cost and any potential federal reimbursement were not available. The Parks Department said locking New Town Park restrooms during closed hours is pending additional funding for a security contract.

A private developer presented a proposed Stadium Marketplace redevelopment with 524 rental units, including 60% income-restricted units, and said it is pursuing a 21H application; this was a proposal, not a government contract award. The board also heard public-safety, water-supply, transportation, stream-maintenance, and housing concerns. No government procurement votes or spending motions were reported. The board approved the July 14 written meeting summary and, without objection, approved its participation in the ʻAiea Community Association Christmas parade and fun fair; no spending amount was specified.
