The Muncie Sanitary District Board met October 14, 2026. It approved the register of claims totaling $2,208,175.22, including $1,057,158.62 for Long-Term Control Plan bond projects and $1,151,017.60 in regular expenditures. The Board also approved Amendment No. 3 to the CSO 7 guaranteed savings contract, a $21.8 million project for sanitary and stormwater improvements. The work is already accounted for in established rates and is expected to include sewer separation, stormwater upgrades, ADA improvements, and paving in the Riverside, Bethel, and nearby areas.

The District reported that it had solicited bids for installation of a chain-link fence at the Wilson Road leaf-composting property; bid packets are available through the administration office, and no award was reported. The Board also noted a new $50,000 Ball Brothers Foundation grant supporting the muscle propagation program. Other updates covered leaf collection requirements, road closures for sewer and infrastructure work, and modernization of the wastewater laboratory; no associated procurement amount or approval was specified for the lab work.
