The City of Tracy Planning Commission meeting on October 14, 2026, included two public hearings and no procurement actions or contract awards. The Commission unanimously recommended that the City Council approve a staff-initiated amendment establishing development standards for four Glenbrier Estates outparcels on South MacArthur Drive, allowing property owners to pursue additions and other permitted work through the building-permit process rather than a separate PUD amendment. The Commission also unanimously recommended an ordinance regulating short-term rentals, including annual permits, transient occupancy tax and business-license requirements, limits on location and density, and operating and parking rules. Staff said the ordinance would take effect in January 2027 if adopted by Council.

During public comment, a downtown business and property owner suggested exploring a city-supported indoor public market in the city-owned Westside Market Building and asked whether downtown facade funds could help; the Commission took no action or funding decision. Staff also reported that the city’s housing element had received state certification and that a public workshop would precede City Council consideration of the warehouse ordinance. No contracts, vendor selections, bids, or purchases were discussed.
