Zoning Commission - October 14, 2026

The Ascension Parish Planning and Zoning Commission met on October 14, 2026. The commission nominated Mr. Marshon as vice chair and moved both the November planning and zoning meetings from November 11 to November 18 in observance of Veterans Day; the meeting-date motion passed. The September 9 zoning meeting minutes were also approved. No procurement, contracting, or spending activity was identified.

For zoning review IDPZ 4021.26, the applicant deferred the Right Bank by You Looked/Judge Russo Land Company LLC proposal to November 18. Public comments raised concerns about the proposed density, traffic, drainage, and access; the commission took no action on the item. For IDPZ 4026.26, Lot B, staff recommended the requested mixed-use zoning based on the parish vision map’s commercial-retail designation, and the commission passed a motion to recommend approval to the Parish Council.
