The City of Twinsburg Public Works Committee met on October 13, 2026. The committee received a progress update on the wastewater electrical and facility renovation program, whose active construction covers the equalization tank, disinfection system, and tertiary treatment area. The presenter outlined a future electrical upgrade, with detailed design estimated at $474,500 and the overall project estimated at approximately $5.8 million to $7.6 million. Design is intended to be completed by year-end, with construction targeted to begin in 2028. The city is evaluating whether to fund the work with cash, a low-interest OWDA loan, or a combination, and plans to update its sewer-rate projections, including Summit County’s 11.2% share. No funding or contract award was approved at this meeting.
The committee also heard that the City Hall roof project was 33% complete, with completion potentially moving up from November 30 to November 13 if weather permits; roofing and HVAC work were underway. Staff said the city’s salt allocation for the year was complete and that remaining funds would be used to fill existing storage capacity. The committee approved the prior meeting minutes by vote. No new procurement award or spending motion was reported.
