October 14, 2026 Board of School Trustees Meeting

The October 14, 2026 Tippecanoe School Corporation Board of School Trustees meeting included approval of the 2027 budget resolutions and ratification of a one-year teacher master contract with the Tippecanoe Education Association for the 2026–27 school year. The agreement was unanimously ratified by the association on October 6; the district said retroactive raise payments were planned for the November 20 payroll. The board also approved the consent agenda, which included an accounts-payable register totaling $25.8 million, and authorized moving forward with land acquisition on Walt Scholar Drive near the Weahtown properties.

The board held and closed the first required public hearing on a proposed 2027 general obligation bond of up to $50 million, with no public comments, and adopted the hearing minutes. The funds would support school equipment and renovations, athletic-field turf, and maintenance work. Four-school renovation plans were estimated at $16.074 million; the presentation described another $25 million to be borrowed over five years for maintenance projects such as HVAC, roofing, carpeting, and painting. The board also voted to reject bids for the Wyandotte parking lot expansion because they substantially exceeded the budget. No vendor was selected for that project.
