At the Neshaminy School Board public work session on October 13, 2026, the board approved Core Creek Road Project change order RW01 by an 8–0 vote. The project’s original bid, awarded around 2020, was $1,679,167.90; the change order was primarily for road widening after delays and project changes. Board members noted that two $500,000 grants will help fund the work. The board also approved acceptance of a $117,000 scholarship bequest from the estate of Elaine K. Simpson. Several service and subscription agreements—including BCIU truancy services, a CCIU student-services plan, and OneAmerica voluntary life insurance—were identified for consideration at the next public board meeting, not approved at this session.

Other funding and facilities matters included a report that a welding-program expansion is being considered, with seats expected to increase from 32 to 64 and costs anticipated to be largely covered by grant funds. The board also heard about a fire-safety training system supported by $10,000 from the Neshaminy Education Foundation and $4,500 from the Middletown Community Foundation. A student request for a greenhouse and school garden was received, with possible funding sources to be explored; no funding decision was made. The business operations committee was scheduled to review financial and facilities matters the following day.
