The Montgomery Historic Preservation Commission met on October 13, 2026, and presented spring 2026 commemorative plaque awards to Amy Barrick for a home on Winona Avenue in Capitol Heights and Elaine Patterson for a home on Mastin Lane in Cloverdale. Commissioners recognized the recipients’ efforts to preserve the history and character of their neighborhoods and encouraged residents to submit nominations through the Land Use Department’s website or by contacting staff.
