Policy Meeting - 9/15/2026

The West Bend School District Policy Committee met on September 15, 2026, to discuss its policy-review schedule and review the 100 series covering board operations. The committee discussed continuing the annual review cycle aligned with the July 1–June 30 fiscal year. Student input will be sought on selected 300-series policies concerning graduation credits and grading; the current year’s review also covers the 100, 400, and 500 series. Proposed 100-series revisions largely involve formatting and terminology consistency, with more substantive clarifications addressing complaints about board members and public participation at meetings. These include clarifying who may participate, how comment cards and eligibility information are handled, the presiding officer’s role, and the existing opportunity to speak for up to three minutes. The discussion noted that speakers need not state their addresses at the podium.
