Arts Commission 10/13/2026

The City of Raymore Arts Commission met on October 13, 2026. Staff reported that the Belton and Raymore Rotary Club is funding a sculpture for the commission’s rotating public-art program. The commission agreed to issue the call for artists in November to allow additional time for submissions; no contract award or spending vote was recorded. Staff also reported that the Raymore Chili Cook-Off raised $1,887 for the Raymore Community Foundation to support future public art. The commission plans to discuss possible changes to the event at a future work session.

The commission reviewed recent events, including the final concert of the year, and shared updates about a December holiday concert. It approved the August minutes through the consent agenda and later approved adjournment. No other new business or procurement activity was identified.
