The October 13, 2026 Lebanon City Council meeting approved numerous procurement and capital purchases. The council approved MFA Oil’s propane bid at $1.35 per gallon, electric-system stock and equipment purchases including a $51,910.88 meter order, $57,185 in LED streetlights, a $285,211 Altec bucket truck through Sourcewell, and $21,540 in electrical cutouts. Other approvals included a $170,364 Fabick Cat backhoe; $327,586.84 in utility materials for Arrow Landing Phase 2; $19,111.60 for stormwater-pipe replacement; and a police rifle and accessories project with a net city cost of $58,204 after trade-in and buyback credits. The council also approved five unmarked Ford Bronco Sport vehicles and a UTV for $259,052.15, an on-call boring-services agreement with Courtney Construction (amount not stated), and demolition of two dangerous structures. The propane, equipment, materials, vehicle, and public-safety purchase resolutions passed unanimously.
The council approved airport taxi-lane improvement grant paperwork, a three-year cloud-based disaster-recovery services agreement expected to save about $4,000 annually, and a three-year Stryker maintenance contract for cardiac monitors at about $7,400 per year. It also accepted a $30,000 cybercrime-task-force grant, amended the FY2027 budget by $37,000, and authorized $28,800 in Cellbrite forensic software, described as fully grant-funded. An automated license-plate-reader ordinance passed its first reading; members discussed data-retention limits and oversight, with further consideration to follow. A proposed city logo and slogan resolution failed on a 3–3 vote, with staff documentation to be circulated and the matter expected to return. Public comments raised concerns about the Ice Cream Factory incentives and up to $400,000 in municipal infrastructure funding, animal-control operations, and traffic safety; no related spending action was taken on those comments.
