The Centennial School District Board of School Directors’ work session/regular meeting on October 13, 2026, included a financial update and approval of several purchasing and service items. The CFO reported that the district’s projected $5 million deficit for 2025–26 was reduced to an estimated $500,000 deficit, a $4.5 million improvement, reflecting revenue about $1.9 million above budget and expenditures about $2.6 million below budget. The board approved the consent agenda, including retroactive renewal of the BoardDocs Pro Plus subscription for up to $16,200; purchase of 50 student iPads and related items for up to $26,747.50; and purchase of two Ford Transit vans from Sands Ford of Red Hill for up to $119,990 through COSTARS contract 20-5-E22-164. Also approved were service agreements and staffing items, including a behavior-technician rate of $38.50 per hour and a compensatory education agreement capped at $21,500. The interim elementary assistant principal agreement with DAB Educational Consultant LLC was discussed at $800 per full day; the superintendent said the engagement would not be extended, but no total cost estimate was available. The consent agenda passed 9–0, except the prior-meeting minutes item, which passed 8–0–1.
The board also accepted $450,000 in state-secured funds: $300,000 for two cove-mounted projectors for the Betty Huff Planetarium, $50,000 for elementary and middle school home-and-school associations, and $100,000 for high school extracurricular activities, including refurbishment of William Tennant’s weight room. MBIT’s liaison reported that snow-removal bids were being sought, alongside facility and security improvement work; no award was presented. Several policies, including proposed facility-use fee changes, maintenance, and school security, were introduced for discussion but not adopted. No additional procurement vote was identified for those items.
