The City of Saginaw, Texas Planning and Zoning Commission met on October 13, 2026. The commission unanimously recommended amendments to the subdivision ordinance updating development-review procedures, including delegating plan approvals to staff and formalizing a 30-day review period for plats. It also unanimously recommended zoning ordinance amendments to the permitted-use table and definitions, with requested revisions concerning the farmers-market, gymnasium, and signage-kiosk definitions; the recommendations will go to City Council. The commission unanimously approved a specific-use permit for Quick Quack Car Wash to operate at 100 East McLeroy Boulevard. The applicant said it plans to rebrand the existing location and replace interior equipment, subject to required building permits.
The commission agreed to participate in the city’s December 5 holiday parade. Staff said the city would provide the truck, trailer, and supplies for the float, with designs to be circulated by email so purchases could proceed; no budget or dollar amount was stated, and no formal vote was taken on participation. Staff also reported that Knoll’s reconstruction phases two and three had been accepted pending final documentation, and that Eagle Mountain High School improvements were expected around September 2028. No contract awards, bids, or other procurement approvals were identified.
