At the October 13, 2026, Bannock County Commissioners meeting, commissioners authorized a signature on a letter documenting compliance with a current juvenile justice grant and approved a supervision and consultation agreement for a juvenile program. The agreement totals $40,560, funded by a grant; the county will pay the Idaho State University administrative program fee, with payments made monthly and funding available through the end of June. Commissioners also approved disposal of surplus Juvenile Detention Center furniture. They ratified an agreement with Teton County, Wyoming, to house juveniles at $450 per day, with about $16,000 in revenue anticipated, and approved a staging agreement with the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections, which provides $250 per day for stays beyond the department’s five-day placement period. Both juvenile detention agreements passed by motion and vote.
The county auditor presented a clean audit opinion and discussed findings involving financial statement timing, cash reconciliation, and fixed-asset controls; commissioners discussed training and process improvements. The board also approved a tax-cancellation resolution, September meeting proceedings, and the consent agenda. A planning ordinance hearing was announced for October 29, with a commissioners’ meeting tentatively scheduled for November 19. No other purchasing or capital project decisions were identified.
