Franklin County Board of Commissioners general session, October 13, 2026. Commissioners approved several technology, facilities, and service agreements. These included Mobile Communications America’s licensing and server configuration for Milestone camera software (resolution 666-26; the transcript’s amount is garbled, apparently about $110,371), an Emergency Operations Center technology upgrade with IVID Technologies (667-26; no amount stated), and a supplemental Johnson Controls Fire Protection contract for security equipment at county facilities (676-26; the amount is garbled in the transcript). They also approved Quality Custom Signs LLC under RFP 20263-03 for manufacturing and installing about 2,200 signs in the downtown county complex (677-26; no contract value stated), after 11 proposals were received. Commissioners discussed the need to continue developing digital wayfinding, including kiosks or phone-based navigation, alongside the physical signs.
Other approved spending included a $300,000 maximum extension for the Central Ohio Workers Center grant; $2.03 million in health-equity grants to 19 nonprofits; a $12,500 Impacto LLC consulting contract; and a $55,296 peer-support and case-management contract with John Reeseman. The board also approved a pilot Affordable Housing Pre-development Incentive Fund capped at $3 million, with awards capped at $1 million per developer; program administration will be determined by a later resolution, and commissioners called for evaluating the pilot’s results. Purchasing resolutions covered 93 purchase orders totaling $1,242,263.95 and one Public Facilities Management purchase of $16,478.86; Commissioner Boyce abstained on the latter. The other procurement and grant resolutions noted above were adopted by vote.
